IT WORKS — Buddy (right, Landon McAdams), who is raised by Santa’s elves but has poor toy-making abilities, surprises himself when he gets a toy working for his half-brother, Michael Hobbs (center, Walton Harder), in Masquerade Theatre’s production of “Elf the Musical Jr.” Buddy has just met his new family, including his stepmother, Emily Hobbs (Hannah Moon), and he encourages them to believe in Santa and to write him a letter in order to help save Christmas. “Elf the Musical Jr.,” presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International, is being staged at the Capitol Theatre Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 each and are available online at https://www.ucmasqueradetheatre.com/ and in person at the Obion County Public Library. Any unsold tickets will be available for purchase at the theater box office 30 minutes prior to each performance.
