Norman Petty
Mr. Norman E. Petty, 89, of Union City passed away 10:10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, 2024, at The Waters of Union City.
Funeral services was conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Ron Gray officiated. Burial followed in Lowes Cemetery in Lowes, Ky.
Pallbearers will be Terry Howard, Hoyt Giffin, Derek Giffin, Dan Faulkner, Merritt Bagwell and Robert Clemmons.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the hour of services Tuesday.
Norman was born June 16, 1935, in Arlington, Ky., son of the late Thomas Maurice and Lula Bell (Heath) Petty. He was the preceded in death by his wife, Joan (Griggs) Petty, on Dec. 31, 1985. Norman retired as a machinist with the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. He served in Germany during the Korean Conflict and was a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4862 in Union City.
He is survived by his daughter, Susan Tucker of Union City; his son, Alan Petty (Amanda Collins) of Tiptonville; and his granddaughter, Ashley Nicks of Nashville.
He was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Lauren Tucker.
