Charles Harmond
Charles Edward Harmond, 87, of Union City passed away Sunday, Nov. 10, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Graveside services will be Thursday, Nov. 14, 2024, at 11 a.m. in Obion County Memorial Gardens with Bro. Shawn White officiating.
White-Ranson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Charles was born in Union City on Aug. 14, 1937, to the late Robert “Pete” Harmond and the late Mary Tidwell Harmond. He married Mrs. Patsy Robertson Harmond on Oct. 19, 1958. She preceded him in death on Oct. 3, 2024. Mr. Harmond worked at Brown Shoe Factory and then later for the Water Treatment Plant until his retirement. He was an Eagle Scout and a Scout Leader for many years. You could always find him at parades around the community driving his Model A car that he restored himself.
He is survived by his niece, Angie (Larry) Wheeler; nephew, Greg (Stacy) Gray; great-nephew Austin Bolding; great-niece, Abby Bolding; and his brother-in-law, Paul (Dora) Robertson, all of Union City.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Harmond was preceded in death by four brothers-in-law, Bobby and Coy Robertson, Larry Gray and Ed Lee; and three sisters-in-law, Charlotte Lee, Brenda Gray and Dorothy Robertson.
