Roy Logan Sr.

Mr. Roy Shaw Logan Sr., age 86, of Fulton passed away Saturday, Nov. 9, 2024, at Fulton Nursing and Rehab.
He was born on Sept. 29, 1938, in Hickman, Ky., to the late Paul Rufus Logan and Hazel Shaw Logan.
Roy was a member of First United Methodist Church in Fulton and was a United States Army veteran. He worked for 30 years as an Administrator at Fulton County School System. He also was a principal at Western, Cayce and Fulton County High School. Roy enjoyed farming, was an avid duck hunter and loved the outdoors. He was also a commercial fisherman and lived all of his life in this area.
He is survived by his children, Geneva (Jimmy) Storey of Union City, Paula Elaine Logan of Asheville, N.C., and Roy Shaw Logan Jr. (Melissa) of Union City; 10 grandchildren, TJ Logan of Nashville, Tiffany Fernandez of Cheyenne, Wyo., Beth Storey of Kansas City, Mo., Kirk Storey of Union City, Samantha Storey of Salisbury, Md., Kristin McDonald of Gordonsville, Caylee Logan of Asheville, N.C., Shaw Logan of Union City, Anna Watson of Union City and Reed Logan of Martin; five great-grandchildren; and two stepchildren, Lynn Kelly and John Armstrong.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anne Logan; a son, Thomas “Tommy” Shaw Logan; and brother, David Logan.
Funeral services will be held at noon Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2024, at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel-Hickman, with burial following in the Hickman City Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral chapel from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday.
