Shirley Kennedy
Shirley Ann Kennedy, 77, a resident of Union City, died Oct. 27, 2024, at her residence.
Services were to be held at 2 p.m. today, Oct. 30, 2024, at White-Ranson Funeral Home. President David Pruett was to officiate. Burial was to follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were to be Michael Rouse, Andrew Miller, Johnathan Bowlin Sr., Johnathan Bowlin Jr., Kenneth Donnell and Keith Pruitt.
Honorary pallbearer was to be Bob Walton.
The family received friends from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at White-Ranson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Kennedy was born on May 4, 1947, in Hickman, Ky., to the late Robert Lee and Ester (Casey) Atkison. She was a homemaker. On June 13, 1999, she married Joe Kennedy. He preceded her in death on Dec. 1, 2021.
She was a member of the Church of Christ of Latter Day Saints in Fulton.
She is survived by three daughters, Sharon Rzepkowski and Corrine Kennedy, both of Union City, and Donna Miller and husband, Danny, of Sedalia, Ky.; two sons, Carl Kennedy of Trimble and John Kennedy of Troy; 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and a sister; Junie Sue Evans of Hickman, Ky.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Jo Ellen Kennedy Faught; son, James Kennedy; sisters, Annie Laura Atkison, Crystal Leen Atkison, twin infant sisters and Retha May Atkison; brothers, Raymond Lee Atkison, Johnie Paul Atkison, Jerry Boyd Atkison, Bobby Glenn Atkison and Robert Daryl Atkison; and a stillborn.
