James Mobbs
Mr. James Mobbs, 91, a resident of Union City, died Oct. 21, 2024, at The Waters of Union City.
A Celebration of Life service was to be held at 1 p.m. today, Oct. 23, 2024, at White-Ranson Funeral Home. The Rev. Justin Hiens was to officiate.
Burial was to follow in East View Cemetery with Military Honors.
The family was to receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. on today at the funeral home.
Mr. Mobbs was born on July 7, 1933, in Union City to the late Lewis and Lucy Mai (Smith) Mobbs. On Sept. 6, 1953, he married Norma Lee. She preceded him on May 2, 2024.
He was a member of Troy Methodist Church.
The family requests memorials be sent to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital.
Mr. Mobbs is survived by a son, Mike Mobbs and wife, Camille, of Union City; two grandsons, Brent Mobbs and wife, Mitzi, of Union City and Adam Mobbs and wife, Shara, of the Clayton community; three great-granddaughters, Gracie Mobbs, Emma Mobbs and Leah Mobbs; and two great-grandsons, Jeremiah Mobbs and Grant Mobbs.
He was also preceded in death by his five brothers, Thomas Lewis Mobbs, John Edward Mobbs, Joe Mobbs, Billy Mobbs and Jake Mobbs; and four sisters, Evelyn Solmon, Bea Polsgrove, Elizabeth Vakleek and Maria Hamlin.
