FACE TO FACE

FACE TO FACE — Four-year-old Jett Turner, a student at Black Oak Elementary, flashed a big smile as his mother, Amanda Turner of the Shawtown community, admired the colorful tiger face painting he received Saturday morning at the annual Hornbeak Fall Festival, staged at the city’s park on Glass Road. He was also sporting one of junior kids fire helmets provided by the Hornbeak Volunteer Fire Department. The festival featured vendors, food trucks, bouncy houses, kiddie train rides, reptile education programs, a dunking booth and an evening performance by The Butler Band.
