John Rogers

John Walter Rogers, age 57, of Martin passed away Sunday, October 6, 2024, at his home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 15, 2024, 11:00 A.M. at Murphy Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Griffin officiating. Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, October 14, 2024, 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at Murphy Funeral Home, or after 9:00 A.M. on Tuesday until service time. Pallbearers will be Jerry Dean Rogers, Jacob Rogers, Jered Rogers, Sam Rogers, Kevin Barnes, Brandon Mayse, Jon Pritchett and Billy Wagster. Mr. Rogers is survived by his wife Kim Rogers; his son, Cody Rogers of Martin; three daughters, Randi Rogers of Dresden, TN, Rebekah Ruby of Union City, TN and Rachel Ruby of Martin; his father, Jerry Dean Rogers; brothers, Derry (Charlotte) Rogers of Martin and Bobbie (Nancy) Rogers of Trenton, TN; two sister-in-laws, Barbara Rogers and Kathy Rogers both of Martin; eight grandchildren, Jaylynn Kirby, Nicholas Plunk, Karsyn Taylor, Eli Ruby, Emmah Rose Jobe, Luna Rose, Everleigh Ruby and Marzia Rogers; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Rogers was a boiler tech for the steam plant at UT Martin. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jerri Lynn Stafford; his mother, Linda Jones; two brothers, David Rogers and Donald “Buck” Rogers.
