Mrs. Klutts was born in Trimble on February 23, 1930, to the late Cecil Troutt and the late Lucille (House) Troutt. She married Lloyd Francis Klutts on August 16, 1947. He preceded her in death on May 7, 2024.
Dorothy (Mama Dot) worked at the former Troy Manufacturing Company for 40-plus years and took care of her father-in-law in their home and later her mother. She was always taking care of other people and was a very special Christian lady.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews, her wonderful church family, Teresa and David Hayes, and her special caregivers, Shirley Moran and Connie Gutierrez. Although Dot and Lloyd never had children of their own, they became grandparents, aunt and uncle to many of the church children. They always took care of any children of the pastors who had small children and would take youth and teens to youth rallies, revivals and would stop and get ice cream on the way home, which was always a special treat. They were especially close to the Northam family from Troy.
Dot and Lloyd, along with Pastor Donald and Patsy Johnson, their son Donald Lewis Johnson, Marion (Junior) and Bernice Davis and Harold and Joann Huey, established the Troy Church of God 54 years ago on September 20th of this year, which is now known as Greater Vision Church of God in Troy.
She is preceded in death by her siblings, Helen Troutt Lowrance, Pauline Troutt, Alvin Troutt, Clifford Troutt and Kenneth Troutt, and her special friend and shopping buddy, Jennifer Matheny.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be sent to her church, Greater Vision Church of God, P.O. Box 308, Troy, TN 38260.
