Melvin Malone

Mr. Melvin Malone, 72, a resident of Martin, died Aug. 25, 2024, at his residence.
Services were held at 10 a.m. today, Aug. 28, 2024, at First United Pentecostal Church. The Rev. Paul Ray Cagle officiated. Burial followed in Beech Grove Cemetery near Bardwell, Ky.
Pallbearers were Dustin Malone, Josh Jourdan, Jayden Brewer, Brian Covington, Carl Vandeveer and Tim Harris. 
Liam Brasfield served as a honorary pallbearer.
The family received friends from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2024, at the church.
Mr. Malone was born on Jan. 2, 1952, in Cairo, Ill., to the late William Melvin Malone Sr. and the late Iva Mae (Lee) Malone. He retired from Taylor Homeworks as a Salesman. On June 14, 1969, he married Mary Hogancamp. She survives.
He was a member of First United Pentecostal Church in Union City, where he was involved in the Spanish Ministries.
Mr. Malone is also survived by two daughters, Christina Woodruff and husband, Daniel, of Pensacola, Fla.; Sandy Jourdan and husband, Randy, of Hurley, Miss.; son, Paul Malone and Kellie Brewer of Dresden; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Terrie Clifford and husband, Steve, of Villa Ridge, Ill., and Janet Williams and husband, Gary, of Jackson, Mo.; two brothers, Mike Malone and wife, Pam, of Cookville and Larry Malone of Jonesboro, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Eddie Allen Malone.
