Megan Beasley
Megan Nicole Alford Beasley, age 34, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at her home in Trezevant, Tennessee, surrounded by her family.
She was born on March 1, 1990, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, to Mike Alford and Melody Morgan.
Megan graduated from UT Martin with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and secondary education. She worked as an environmental Health Specialist for the State of Tennessee in Hickman, Carroll and Henry counties. She adored animals and plants. She loved her family, especially her daughters.
Megan is survived by her husband, Michael Beasley of Trezevant, TN; two daughters, Olivia Beasley and Norah Beasley, both of Trezevant, TN; father, Mike Alford and bonus mother, Vickie Alford of Tiptonville, TN; mother, Melody Morgan of Yorkville, TN; brother, Brandon Alford of Yorkville, TN; grandfather, Mitchel Morgan of Yorkville, TN; grandmother, Annetta Dale of Troy, TN; bonus grandmother, Ruth Kendall of Hornbeak, TN; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and beloved honorary brother, Kenneth Tubbs of Tiptonville TN.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Marvin Ralph Alford of Obion, TN; grandmother and grandfather, Mary H. and Charles Homer Cloar of Hornbeak, TN; and bonus grandmother, Elise Morgan of Trimble, TN.
Visitation and celebration of Megan’s life will be at Cryer and Son Funeral Home in Obion, TN, on August 17, 2024, from 10 a.m. to noon. Family and friends are invited to visit with Mike and Vickie along with family at that time. If you would like to send any special items, you may send them to Cryer and Son in Obion, TN. You may also wish to plant a tree in her honor or save a turtle like she loved to do. A ceremony will be held graveside at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Dyer, TN, afterward. Brother Larry Archie will speak and pray with the loved ones in honor of Megan’s life.
In addition, Megan’s husband, children, in-laws, friends and family will gather at the family farm to celebrate her love and life on August 17 from noon ’til whenever it ends. Please join us in support of the families and friends who loved Megan and always will.
Honorary pallbearers will be Rob Somerville, Mike Kendall, Johnny Board, Gary Watkins, David Donnell, Wayne Lanier, Mark Hale and Cass Ballard.
