Jean Whitby
Jean Cornettia Watkins Whitby, age 77, of Union City passed away Monday, Aug. 5, 2024, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
A memorial visitation was to be held today, Aug. 14, 2024, at White-Ranson Funeral Home from noon-2 p.m.
Mrs. Whitby was born on Dec. 11, 1946, to the late Dwite Watkins and the late Margie Slaughter Via. She married Bobby Whitby on July 15, 1966. He preceded her in death on Sept. 10, 2020. She was co-owner of the former Whitby’s Flower Shop and retired from Union City Insurance Agency.
Mrs. Whitby is survived by her grandchildren, Tyler Whitby and Taylor Whitby.
In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Eric Whitby.
