GETTING READY — Carolyn Trainer, manager of the Dollar General store located on Nailling Drive in Union City, stocked shelves with school supplies to prepare for this weekend’s sales tax holiday, which has been set aside by the State of Tennessee to help ease the burden its residents may feel when buying school supplies and new back-to-school clothes. Shoppers will pay no sales tax on qualifying clothing, school supplies and computers Friday through Sunday. A full list of exempt and not exempt items can be found online at www.tntaxholiday.com.
