KEEPING COOL — Alex Barnett (not pictured) of Hickman, Ky., brought her children, including 6-year-old Mateo Barnett, to the Union City splash pad as a way to stay cool on Tuesday when temperatures reached a high of 97 in the area. The splash pad is open from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
