Tommy Martin

Tommy Ray Martin, 76, of Martin passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Martin with Dr. Mike Sams and Tommy Moore officiating. Burial followed in Camp Ground Cemetery near Martin with Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home in Union City in charge of the arrangements. Pallbearers will be Andy Oliver, Jamie Westbrook, Mike Ford, Mike Wilson, Portis Tanner and Terry McDade. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Prince, Bill Bolding, Marvin Alexander, Richard Killebrew, Mike Rinker and John Tanner.Tommy was born Nov. 11, 1947, in Lansing, Michigan, son of the late Thomas Martin and Mary Lou Edwards. He married Judy (Travis) Martin on March 19, 1966.  She survives.  He and his wife loved entertaining friends and family through the Elks Lodge where he worked for more than 30 years and was a member of First Baptist Church in Martin. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Cody Martin (Ashley) of Union City and Cayce Allen (Will) of Murfreesboro; three great grandchildren, Ryleigh Martin, Cora Martin and Jack Allen; and one sister, Donna Martin of Martin. He was also preceded in death by his son, Chad Martin.
