Terry Ashmore Sr., 77, of Martin died Sunday, May 19, 2024, at his residence. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Murphy Funeral Home in Martin with Josh Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery in Martin. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home until funeral time. Family will serve as pallbearers. Mr. Ashmore owned and operated Triple T Construction until his retirement. He was a Baptist by faith. He is survived by his children, Terry (Kristi) Ashmore Jr. and Cindy (John) Cruse, both of Martin, Wyatt (Jackie) Ashmore of Murray, Kentucky and Misty (Brad) Depew of Greenfield; one sister, Avonia (John) Schoolfield of Kenton; 12 grandchildren, Jennifer Rinks, Justin Cruse, Amber Cruse, Brittany Duke, Hagen Ashmore, Koby Ashmore, Kimberly Poyner, Michael Ashmore, Courtney Bryan, Paislee Birchem, Addilyn Depew and Audree Depew; and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Roy Ashmore and Christine Eddleman Ashmore. Online tributes may be left at murphyfuneralhome.net.
