LET US PRAY

LET US PRAY — Crosswind Church senior pastor Jeremy Powell gave a brief devotion and led in prayer to kick off the local National Day of Prayer program at noon Thursday at Merchants Park in downtown Union City. The event was sponsored by the Obion County Ministerial Association. It included local pastors or community leaders specifically praying for churches, family, education, business, protection (military and emergency services) and government, led by Dan Huggins, Landon Moore, Ezra Johnson, James Glasgow, Ken Pitts and Jimmy Smith, respectively. This year’s National Day of Prayer theme was “Lift Up the Word, Light Up the World,” based on the scripture 2 Samuel 22:29-31.
