Betty Jo Gray
Betty Jo Gray, 89, of Union City passed away 3 a.m. Friday, May 3, 2024, at her home.
Funeral services were conducted 2 p.m. Sunday at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Ron Gray officiated. Burial followed in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were grandsons and great-grandsons.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to First Church of God, 415 South Miles Ave., Union City, TN 38261; or the charity of the donor’s choice.
Betty Jo was born July 25, 1934, in Dorena, Mo., daughter of Charlie and Grace (Brown) Childers. She married Andrew Gene Gray on April 12, 1952. Betty Jo was a retired factory worker and a homemaker. She was a very active member of First Church of God in Union City.
She is survived by her husband, Gene Gray of Union City; her daughter, Gina Williams and husband, Jeff Hedrick, of Union City; her son, Ron Gray and wife, Wanda, of Union City; three grandchildren, Ryan Gray of Union City, C.J. Williams and wife, Shannon, of Union City and Nikki Lilly and husband, Chase, of Counce; five great-grandchildren, Ethan Allen of Murray, Ky., and Courtland Gray and Coleman Gray, both of Seymour, SarahJane Williams of Union City and Avery Lilly of Counce; one sister, Shirley Long of Jacksonville, Fla.; and one brother, Johnny Childers and wife, Brenda, of Columbia, S.C.
She was also preceded in death by one grandson, Daren Gray.
