SEEING SANTA

SEEING SANTA — Two-year-old Emersyn Page, daughter of Avery Stover of Hornbeak and Jeremy Page of Crockett, had a chat with Santa Claus at midday Saturday during a “Pizza with Santa” event held at the Hornbeak Community Center, which is the renovated former City Hall building. Local children were served pizza and given treat bags that included candy and McDonald’s gift cards. Each child also received a toy from Santa as a special local gesture of kindness. The town’s holiday cheer will continue this Saturday at 5:30 p.m. with its Christmas parade through its downtown area along Main Street toward Black Oak Elementary School.
