Tommye Wall

Tommye Paschall Wall, 101, died July 9, 2023, at AHC Union City. She was a native of Lake County, but lived most of her adult life in Baton Rouge, La., where she worked for many years as an accountant. She was of the Catholic faith.
Mrs. Wall was valedictorian of her senior class at Ridgely High School and attended the Tennessee College for Women and UT Knoxville. During World War II, she worked on the Manhattan Project at Oak Ridge, which made the atomic bombs dropped on Japan in 1945.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Randy Anding of Union City; a grandson, Gerald Hilbun of Center Moriches, N.Y.; a granddaughter, Susan Hilbun of Baton Rouge; a special niece, Donna Neblett of Union City; and a godchild, Candace Aucoin of Baton Rouge.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Wall; a son, Floyd Ronald Lee; a grandson, Justin Hilbun; her parents, William Thomas Paschall and Ora Lee Walls Paschall; and six brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2023, from 2-5 p.m. at White-Ranson Funeral Home in Union City, after which she will be cremated.
There will be no funeral service.
