Sue Nipp
Margaret Sue Nipp, 91, of Union City and formerly of Hickman, Ky., passed away 2:14 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023, at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, 2023, in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Pastor Terry English will officiate. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from noon until the hour of services Friday.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Nipp, John Crowley, Michael Hankins, Darren Doss, Chris True and Steve Pinion.
Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to the charity of the donor’s choice.
Sue was born March 22, 1931, in Fulton County, daughter of the late Herman Lois and Mossie Belle (Argo) Gaddie. She married Ferrell Nipp Nov. 4, 1950. He survives. Sue worked for the Union City School System and was the former director at Children’s Corner Daycare in Union City. She was quite artistic and enjoyed painting and gifting her work to family and friends. Sue was a member of Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church.
She is also survived by one daughter, Vicki McClung (Kyle) of Union City; two sons, Bob Nipp (Joyce) of Bartlett and Steven Nipp (Wendi) of Union City; five grandchildren, Becky Hicks (Bo) of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Paul Nipp of Bellingham, Wash., Jennifer Crowley (John) of Madison, Ala., Rick Nipp of Paducah, Ky., and Kati Hankins (Michael) of Erie, Pa.; and four great-grandchildren, Audrey Hicks, Charlie Hankins, Jack Crowley and Maddie Crowley.
She was also preceded in death by one sister, Monette Shaw; and one brother, the Rev. Bill Gaddie.
