Pam Cox

Pam Cox, 80, a resident of Union City, passed away quietly Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at her home. She was the daughter of the late Katherine Ann (Dietzel) Cox and the late JC Cox, both of Union City.
Graveside services were held 3 p.m. Saturday, July 9, 2022, in East View Cemetery. Friends were asked to meet at the cemetery.
White-Ranson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
After graduating from Union City High School, she received her BA degree from UTMB and later a master’s degree in psychology at Murray State University. She taught for over 30 years in Sikeston, Mo.
She is remembered as being a wonderful playmate, even in a neighborhood full of boys. She stole the show in the late ’40s when she played “cowboys and Indians.” Pictures of Pam still reflect in the family’s mind of being a kind sister cuddling her baby brother, Sam, in a chair that is still in the living room today. She was loving and graciously cared for her mother Katherine in her later years.
In her own way, Pam always remained wonderful and thoughtful to everyone and to God. She was a devout Christian who loved her church and was willing to sacrifice all she might have for others.
She leaves behind two brothers, Andy Cox and his wife, Phyllis, and Sam Cox and his wife, Ginger; nieces, Mitzi and Anna Cox; her nephew, Matthew Cox; and three great-nieces, Mckenzie, Sophie and Caroline Cox.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Methodist Church in Union City.
Condolences may be sent to the family at the funeral home website: www.white-ranson.com.
