Betty Rushing

Mrs. Betty Jean Rushing, age 93, of Martin, died Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at Weakley County Nursing Home in Dresden. Graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Friday in East Side Cemetery in Martin with Murphy Funeral Home of Martin in charge of the arrangements. She was a homemaker and a member of Central Baptist Church in Martin. Mrs. Rushing is survived by her daughter, Jeannie (John) Ayers of Murfreesboro; her son, James Rushing of Dresden; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert J. Rushing; her son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Donna Rushing; her parents, James Willie McKinney and Mary Ellen Jackson McKinney; and her daughter-in-law, Barbara Rushing.
