Sheila Ann Sullivan Green, age 72, passed away Thursday, Feb. 17, 2022, at her home in Knoxville. She graduated from Martin High School and Baptist Hospital School of Nursing as an RN. She was employed by Baptist Hospital as a nurse and after receiving her bachelor’s degree started teaching at the Baptist Hospital of Nursing. She continued her education to include two master degrees and a doctoral degree. After more than 20 years in Memphis, she accepted a position at Tennessee Tech and moved to Cookeville, where she accepted the position of interim dean for the nursing program and was instrumental in establishing the new nursing school. She retired from Tennessee Tech and moved to Knoxville. She is survived by her mother, Frances (Darrell) Penick; daughters, DeeAnn Green (Eric) Climer and Sarah Green (Lendale) Smith; five grandchildren, Grace Haynes, Lucas Haynes, Mathew Climer, Logan Climer and Andrew Climer. She was preceded in death by her father, T.L. Sullivan; husbands, Arthur Donald Green and Robert Francia; and a brother, Keith Sullivan.
