Judy Kay Arnaiz Ciscell
Judy Kay Arnaiz Ciscell was born on June 15, 1948 in Los Angeles County, California, the second child of Leora Jones Arnaiz.
Family and friends were received on Thursday at Jenkins Funeral Chapel, 2914 Dover Center Road, Westlake, Ohio.
Judy enjoyed working with friends at her jobs Her favorite job though was being a mom, grandmother and great-grandmother.
After the loss of her son, Jason, Judy relocated to Cleveland, Ohio. She cared for the children of a family friend. They were twins and they had heart monitors. It turns out Judy lost her heart to those two young girls and their sister. During her years in Cleveland, Judy would help raise her own grandchildren and many more that came to call her Granny.
Having struggled with breathing issues for most of her life Judy was put on the lung transplant list at the Cleveland Clinic. “How would you like to try on a new pair of lungs,” they said. That was the call she got when it came her time. Transplanted on Jan. 31, 2003, Judy had two brand new lungs. She was blessed and extremely grateful for her new life. God gave Judy and her family 18 great years.
She loved her children Darrel Ciscell of Greenfield, Kimberly (Ciscell) Gugat of Pennsboro, West Virginia and Michael Ciscell of Greenfield; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Judy was preceded in death by her two youngest sons, Timothy Richard Ciscell and Jason Wayne Ciscell; and her grandson, Christopher Lee Ciscell.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cleveland Clinic Lung Transplant Program.
Granny would want you all to know she loved you. She will miss you and please don’t forget the Mt. Dew.
