Margaret Payne

Margaret Bufford Payne, 97, a resident of Bountiful, Utah, formerly of Obion County, passed away peacefully in her sleep Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021, at the Barton Creek Assisted Living in Utah.
Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Friday at Obion County Memorial Gardens.
There will be no public visitation.
White-Ranson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
At her passing at 97, she had lived a full and happy life. She was born in Union City and graduated from Kenton High School in 1942. Maggie lived most of her adult life in Union City, where she met and married George Payne Jr. They raised a family, as well as owned and operated True Value Hardware Store. She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and will be laid to rest next to her husband.
