On Nov. 12, at approximately 2:15 a.m., Martin patrol officer, Kelly Hendon responded to a call for service in reference to an alleged domestic dispute on Beaumont Street. Upon arrival, Hendon made contact with the victim, who advised that she and her boyfriend, Marcus Garland Jr., age 20, had gotten into an altercation. The victim stated that Garland came into the bedroom, demanding she leave the apartment. The victim stated that after she began packing her belongings, Garland began punching, kicking, and choking her. The victim stated she got away by biting Garland and taking his phone away. The victim stated that Garland had an AR-15 style rifle pointed toward her. Hendon noted scratches on the victim’s arms and a busted lip.
