Gordon Jones
Services for Gordon W. Jones, age 93, of Greenfield, will be Monday, July 19, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home of Greenfield. His visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on July 19th and go until time of his service with burial in Gearins Chapel Cemetery. He was a very hard worker and truly loved the outside. Besides camping, he enjoyed yard work and was a true gardener that loved sharing vegetables with his neighbors and friends. He is survived by his daughter, Elaine Totty; his son, Robert W. “Sam” Jones; two grandchildren, Kimberly (Kirt) Rogers of Chattanooga and Russell (Ashley) Jones of Cleveland; and four great-grandchildren, Sarah Young, Anna, Ian and Owen Rogers. He was preceded in death by his wife, Verda Lorena Gearin Jones; son-n-law, Steve Crutcher; daughter-n-law, Sheila Jones; grandson, Craig Gordon Totty; and parents, Rufus and Bessie Jones. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers donations be made to “Christmas Shoe Box” at Bethel Baptist Church, 154 TN-54, Greenfield, TN 38230.
