Gladys Caldwell
Mrs. Gladys Caldwell, 95, of Union City died Monday, Jan. 4, 2021, at the Pavilion Senior Living Center in Lebanon.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Fremont Cemetery, with Brother Bill Denman officiating.
All attendees are asked to wear masks and maintain social distancing.
Pallbearers will be Chris Lyons, Jason Rice, Dan Germany, Jonathan Caldwell, Roger David Williams, Holice Gilliland and Leslie Williams.
There will be no visitation held.
She was born July 28, 1925, in Bells, daughter of the late Lem and Bessie (Williamson) Williams. She married James Noel Caldwell Jr. on June 11, 1950. He preceded her in death on May 5, 2005.
She was a member of Fremont Church of Christ, Retired Teachers Association and a retired second grade teacher at the former Dixie Elementary School and Lake Road Elementary School.

She is survived by one daughter, Mary Bess Griffith (Curt) of Lebanon; one son, Jim Caldwell (Cindy) of Florence, S.C.; four grandchildren, Betsy Noelle Lyons (Chris) of Nashville; Laura Rice (Jason) of Memphis; Sarah Germany (Dan) of Tuscumbia, Ala., and Jonathan Caldwell of Memphis; six great-grandchildren, Lanigan Lyons, Calder Jane Lyons, Nixon Eder, Jeremiah Germany, Mary Elizabeth Germany and Hannah Germany.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Gilliland and Mildred Thomas; and one brother, Harry Williams.
