Wesley Buyck

Wesley J Buyck, age 88, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2020, after a full life. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life on Saturday Jan. 2, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Harvest Church, 6720 Kern Road, Knoxville. Wesley was born on Jan. 21, 1932 to Walter and Agnes Buyck of Irondequoit, New York. He was a graduate of Clarkson College of Technology with a MS in Mechanical Engineering. He retired as an Engineer for IBM and taught at Southern University, Baton Rouge and University of Tennessee at Martin. He had a passion for gardening and farming, and also enjoyed wine making, flying, and RV touring with Ruth. He was an active member of Masonic Friendship Lodge #153 in Owego, New York. Wesley is survived by his children, Lynn Clark, Walter Buyck, Timothy Buyck, Kathleen Buyck; grandchildren, Elizabeth Dillon, Mitchell Buyck, Michael Kerr, Nicole Anderson; and great-grandchildren, Kieran Dillon, Clara-Lynn Dillon, Marshall Dillon, Kenmire Anderson, and Edward Anderson. He was predeceased by Ruth (Zoeller) Buyck, his wife of 57 years; and by his grandson, Gregory Buyck.
