Verlie Sudberry

Mrs. Verlie Dortch Sudberry, age 98, entered her eternal home on November 9, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in O’fallon, Illinois.  She was a longtime resident of Martin, Tennessee. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time. Mrs. Sudberry was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, William Sudberry; her parents, Eva Beard and Richard Dortch, four brothers, Cleatus, Herman, Bill and Toy Dortch; three sisters, Earlene Edwards, Callie Myrick and Brooksie Carrington. Mrs. Sudberry worked as a sewing machine operator for Martin Manufacturing for many years.  She was a member of Broadway Baptist Church in Martin. She is survived by her daughters, Sandra (Jerry) Voss of Belleville, IL and Vicky (Steve) Hill of Rural Retreat, Virginia; her sister, Maxine Garner of Martin; four grandchildren, Kyle (Molly) McMillin, Christy (Cathy) McMillin, Stacy (Glenn) Arney and Stephanie (Steve) Maddox; five great-grandchildren, Leah, Colin and Kendall Maddox and Chase and Aiden Arney; her best furry friend, Rusty. In lieu of flowers memorials requested to Broadway Baptist Church or the charity of your choice.
