George Robert Leake Sr.

George Robert Leake Sr., 88, of Obion passed away on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2020, at Signature Healthcare of Ridgely.
George was born on Feb. 23, 1932, in Lake County, to the late Arthur and Effie Turner Leake. He was retired from Keneric and attended Minnick Bible Church.
George loved time with his grandkids and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Fan. He enjoyed growing tomatoes and loved drinking Coca-Cola. George was a fan of the music of Ernest Tubb and Hank Williams Sr.
Graveside services will be held 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Fremont Cemetery near Union City.
Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Family members and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
Survivors include his son, George Robert Leake II and wife, Shiloh, of Troy; a sister, Flo Dunavant of Dyersburg; and three grandchildren, Kail Leake, Anna Frances Leake and Chess Leake.
In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Hood Leake; a brother, Herbert Leake; and a half-brother, Paul York.
