David Bayer
Brother David Bayer, 73, and longtime minister at Fulton Cumberland Presbyterian Church in South Fulton, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2020, at the Hillview Nursing Home in Dresden.
He was born in Chicago to the late William and Wanita “Nell” Myrick Bayer.
He was a Murray State University graduate and obtained a degree in Bible and public speaking from Columbia College in Chicago.
When Bro. David wasn’t pastoring his church family and teaching the Gleaners Sunday School Class, he was found performing weddings for people all over the world for over 20 years at the Graceland Chapel in the Woods in Memphis. He had a true love of people and the communities of Fulton and South Fulton.
He is survived by three daughters, Sara (Kary) Kee of Waxhaw, S.C., Lea (Wade) Hayes of Mt. Juliet and Carol Stephenson of Dresden; five grandchildren, Karson, William and Addison Kee, all of Waxhaw, and Caroline and Victoria Stephenson of Dresden; and a brother, Joe Bayer of Smithland, Ky.

Due to the current events surrounding the viral pandemic of the coronavirus (COVID-19) the Bayer family will have a private funeral service as required by Kentucky and Tennessee guidelines.
