2020 BABY — Proud parents Alyssa Childress and Bradley Wilson of Newbern paused this morning to cuddle and admire their new daughter, Oaklee Raylynn Wilson, who arrived at 7:32 p.m. on New Year’s Day to become the first baby born in 2020 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City. She weighed 6 pounds, 1 ounce, and was 191⁄2 inches long. Ms. Childress said the baby’s due date was New Year’s Eve. Oaklee has six siblings: Dennis, 14; Bradley, 13; Christian, 11; Kaylee, 9; Rowan, 2; and Harmonee, 1. The hospital staff presented the appreciative couple with a backpack-style diaper bag stuffed with newborn supplies, children’s books and a tiny New Testament Bible.
