CLOSE WATCH — Union City native and Golden Tornado football alumni Bart Fuller watches with his camera from the track behind Randy Barnes Field as UC players exit the playing surface following pregame warm-ups last week. Fuller, who was paralyzed from the waist down after a rock climbing accident 30 years ago, still rarely misses a Twister game with his wife Gina — also a UCHS grad — by his side. He hopes to follow the Tornadoes to the BlueCross Bowl state championship game in two weeks, something he’s done in four of the program’s five previous appearances. Before that is a trip to Columbia this week where UC battles Columbia Academy in the Class 2A semifinals.
