Russell Dawson
Mr. Russell Dawson, 65, of Union City passed away 8:49 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026, at his home.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Richard Dawson and Jeff Taylor will officiate. Burial will follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery near Troy.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday and after 10 a.m. Thursday.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Russell was born June 5, 1961, in Dyersburg, son of the late Russell Dawson Jr. and Shirley (Simpson) Dawson of Troy. He was a member of First Baptist Church–Troy. He worked in the logging business for many years. Russell had a big heart and would help anyone in need.
He is also survived by one sister, Bridgette Page of Union City; two brothers, Jerry (Candi) Dawson and Chris (Rhonda) Dawson, all of Troy; three nephews, Troy Kinninmonth, Chad Dawson and Josh Dawson; one great-niece, Camdyn Dawson; and one great-nephew, Colton Kinninmonth.
He was also preceded in death by his nephew, John Eric Dawson.
