Donald Moss
Mr. Donald R. Moss of Obion, age 72 years, 11 months and 16 days, departed this earthly life on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 in Jackson.
Friends and family are ask to gather at St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Obion on Thursday, July 23, 2026, for the 2 p.m. memorial service. Rev. Melvin Wade will officiate, assisted by Rev. Norman Adams.
Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery near Obion.
Mr. Moss was born on Wednesday, July 22 1953, in Clarksville, the son of Vernice Smith Moss of Obion and the late Virgle L. Moss. He was an employee of the former Reelfoot Packing Co. in Union City and a member of St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Obion.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Vernice Smith Moss of Obion; a brother and sister-in-law, Alford and Brenda Moss of Phoenix, Ariz.; a sister, Gloria Jean Moss of Decatur, Ill.; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Pete Moss, William Moss and Bobby Moss; and a sister, Teresa Skinner.
