Mary Pierce
Mary Frances (Jones) Pierce, 94, of Union City passed away noon Saturday, June 13, 2026, at her home.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Justin Beard will officiate. Burial will follow in Beech Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of services Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be Guy Walker Gray, Chris Lynn, Mike Wilson, Lowell Grooms, Mark McBride and Vondal Davidson.
Frances was born Feb. 20, 1932, in Obion, daughter of the late True Jewel and Notie Elizabeth (Runions) Jones. She married J.L. “Fatsy” Pierce Feb. 6, 1960. He preceded her in death Oct. 8, 1989. Frances had been employed at the former Salant & Salant in Obion and was a baby sitter in her home for many years. She was a member of Bishop Street Church of Christ in Union City and enjoyed working in her yard.
She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Pierce and Cindy Wall, both of Union City; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Gerald Wall; two sisters, Lena Mae Crouch (Thomas) and Judy Lee (Leon); and one brother, William “Bill” Jones.
