John Fowlkes
John Aubrey Fowlkes, 76 of Troy, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at The Waters of Union City.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2026, in Terrace Hill Cemetery, with Bro. James McEwen officiating. There will be a visitation before the graveside at White-Mahon Funeral home on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Mr. Fowlkes was born in Memphis on Jan. 21, 1950, to the late Robert Ray Fowlkes and the late Parthenia Christine Williams Fowlkes. He married Debra Hawley Fowlkes on Jan. 25, 1995. She survives. He worked in maintenance for Walmart in Union City. Mr. Fowlkes loved playing the drums in bands, reading and going to historical places.
In addition to his wife, Debra, Mr. Fowlkes is survived by his daughter, Ashley Goodman of Obion; two grandsons, Preston James Goodman and Xavier Ray Goodman, both of Obion; his brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Debbie Fowlkes of Union City; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Michelle Mills of Jackson and Melissa and Mike Sharpe of Washington; and several nieces and nephews.
