Billy Wilkerson
Mr. Billy Lloyd Wilkerson, age 93, of Hickman, Ky., passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Baptist Health Paducah.
He was born on Sept. 8, 1932, in Hickman to the late Noel Franklin Wilkerson and Vassie Lee Presson Wilkerson.
Mr. Wilkerson was a devoted member of West Hickman Baptist Church. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Korean War. He was also a former member of the Masonic Lodge and the American Legion. He retired from the former Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, where he worked in the Final Finish Department.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jettie Estella Myatt Wilkerson, whom he married on Nov. 10, 1951; one daughter, Lynne (Claude) Morgan of Union City; one grandchild, Lucas Clay James of Union City; one great-grandchild, Braelyn McKenzie James of Tallahassee, Fla.; and one sister, Peggy Ann Haney of Alabama.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Garrett Lee Wilkerson; grandson, William Asher James; great-grandchild, Hunter Jayce James; five sisters, Juanita Whitten, Lavern Grissom, Dorothy McKinnis, Ruth King and Donna Lattus; and four brothers, Howard Franklin Wilkerson, James Baker Wilkerson, Richard Wilkerson and Gary Joe Wilkerson.
Funeral services for Mr. Wilkerson will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at West Hickman Baptist Church, with burial to follow at Rush Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.
Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Hickman is in charge of arrangements.
