Glenda Fowlkes
Glenda Fay Fowlkes, 82, of Union City passed away Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Obion County Nursing Home.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2026, in Sander’s Chapel Cemetery, with Bro. Jack Henry officiating. There will be no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
White-Ranson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Glenda was born in Obion County on June 26, 1943, to the late Paul Fowlkes and the late Arrietta Williams Fowlkes. She was a graduate of Plymouth High School in Ploymouth, Mich. She and her sister were the owners of Kay and Fay Grocery Store and she attended Sander’s Chapel.
She is survived by her cousin, Sherry Johnston of Union City; one brother, Samuel Dale Fowlkes of Plymouth, Mich.; her niece, Donna Mills of Plymouth, Mich.; two nephews, Kenny Fowlkes and Gene Thomas, both of Plymouth, Mich.; a few great-nieces and great-nephews; several cousins; and one uncle, Robert Williams of Union City.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin sister, Linda Kay Fowlkes on Nov. 25, 2020.
