Sharon Gail Whitmore

Sharon Gail Whitmore, age 62, passed away at her home in Hornbeak on February 18, 2026.
Services will be held 3 p.m. Friday, February 20, 2026, at White & Mahon Funeral Home. The Rev. Archie Larry will officiate. Burial will follow in Graves Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the service on Friday at the funeral home.
She was born January 3, 1964, in Union City, Tennessee, to Elsie Marice (Thompson) and Walker Harris. She was a 1982 graduate of Obion County Central High School and later worked at Goodyear Tire until its closing.
On September 1, 1983, she married the late Terry Whitmore. They shared over 40 years together before his passing on September 1, 2020, their 37th wedding anniversary.
Being a mom and grandma were the greatest joys of her life. She is survived by her daughters, Demanda and Diana; her son-in-law, Nick Dial; and her beloved grandchildren, Corbin and Elsie Gookin and Bennett Dial.
She is also survived by her sisters, Jenny Lawrence, Shirley Moore, Alice Hawks and Deloma Pitts; sisters-in-law, Teresa Whitmore, Karen Schmidt and Tammy Long; brother-in-law, Greg Whitmore; and 19 nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.
Serving as pallbearers will be her nephews, Joseph Lawrence, Harris Pitts, Michael Moore, Gregory Whitmore, Devin Strain, Dustin Rainey, Brandon Strain and Jaxon Whitmore.
She will be remembered for her kindness, her devotion to family, and the way she cared for others. She was loved deeply and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Jameson Gookin.
