NEW YEAR, NEW BABY

NEW YEAR, NEW BABY — Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City welcomed the first baby born at the hospital in 2026 on New Year’s Day, with parents Dawson and Elyssa (Larrauri) Laws of Dresden ecstatic to welcome their new baby girl. Adalyne Mae Laws was born Jan. 1 at 12:51 p.m. and weighed in at 8 pounds, 5 ounces. The hospital presented the family with a wagon of gifts for the baby. BMH-Union City chief executive officer/administrator Skipper Bondurant said, “It is always a blessing to welcome the first baby of the year at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City. It fills us with hope and excitement for the year ahead. Congratulations to the family.”
