RESTAURANT RAZED

RESTAURANT RAZED — The Willow Tree restaurant at 128 East Palestine Ave. in Obion was destroyed by fire early Monday, with 22 firefighters from six local departments working for about four hours to bring the fire under control and complete overhaul operations. The blaze was reported shortly after 2 a.m., with the first fire crews arriving to find the two-story structure fully involved by fire. The restaurant was owned by Rodney and Debbie Underwood. It was opened in 2022 in a building which was built in 1848 and restored after the couple’s purchase of it in 2015.
