David Russell

David Russell, 87, of Union City passed away Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2025, at his home.
Funeral services were conducted 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Rev. Terry English officiated. Burial followed in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Raymond Roberson, Nick Roberson, Andrew Hardee, David Mosher, Larry Preuett Jr. and Gene Mitchell.
David was born April 29, 1938, in Martin, son of the late Fred and Rosa Lee (Rutledge) Russell. He married Rebecca Arlene (Jones) Russell June 30, 1961. David had been employed as a self employed contractor and as a superintendent for the former Steele Systems. He served in the United States Army, enjoyed fishing and was a member of Antioch Union Church in the Crystal community.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Arlene Russell of Union City; his son, David Russell (Pat) of Humboldt; his daughter, Sandra Roberson (Raymond) of Union City; four grandchildren, Kristi Roberson of Mt. Juliet, Nick Roberson (Brooke) of Nashville, Monica Mosher (David) of Conway, Ark., and Hannah Hardee (Andrew) of Memphis; six great-grandchildren, McKenzie Roberson and Zoey Roberson, both of Nashville, J.D. Mosher and Jase Mosher, both of Conway, Ark., and Amelia Hardee and Micah Hardee, both of Memphis;  and two sisters, Patsy Russell Mitchell of Union City and Nancy Russell Eberly (Mark) of Alabama.
He was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Hillary Russell; three sisters, Betty Posey, Lola Beasley and Mary Lou Taylor; and two brothers, Frederick Russell and Joe Russell.
