Larry Bennett

Larry Wayne Bennett, 79, of Hornbeak passed away Thursday, Nov, 27, 2025, at his home.
Funeral services were conducted 2 p.m. Saturday at Antioch Baptist Church near Hornbeak. Brother Pat Murdock officiated. Burial followed in Antioch Cemetery.
Visitation was held at Antioch Baptist Church from noon until the hour of services Saturday.
Pallbearers were Timothy Daugherty, Kyle Bennett, Bruce Bennett, Andy Willett, Jon-Andrew Morris and R.C. Mooney.
Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Larry was born July 9, 1946, in Obion County, son of the late Loyal Boyd and Edna Rebecca (Quillen) Bennett. He married Theresa (Willett) Bennett May 20, 1966. Larry retired from the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company after 30 years of service. He was a deer hunter, and enjoyed gardening and attending church. Larry was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and had served in the Tennessee Army National Guard.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Theresa Bennett of Hornbeak; one son, Dan Boyd Bennett (Samantha) of Trimble; four grandchildren, Timothy Daugherty of Jackson and Lexi Bennett, Lillian Bennett and Kyle Bennett, all of Trimble; one great-granddaughter, Kayleigh Bennett of Trimble; three brothers, Lonnie Bennett of Caruthersville, Mo., Harlan Bennett (Debbie) of Union City and Bruce Bennett (Susie) of Hornbeak; and one brother-in-law, Steve Willett (Susie) of Hornbeak.
