Kay Barnes
Mary Kay (Harrison) Barnes, 75, of the Crystal community passed away Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025, at home. She was born June 14, 1950, in Martin daughter of the late G.W. and Mary Margaret (King) Harrison.
Kay married Robert Lynn Barnes Aug. 4, 1979. He preceded her in death April 28, 2023. She had been employed at the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and was a homemaker and the owner/operator of the former Bow K’s Flower Shop in Union City. Kay was a member of Antioch Union Church and the Jones Walker VFW Post 4862 Ladies Auxiliary.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2025, in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Rev. Phillip Pinion will officiate. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery in the Crystal community.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until the hour of services Wednesday.
Pallbearers will be Keaton Yates, Harrison Hooper, Karter Yates, Holt Nicodemus, Hudson Sadler, Emerson Fussell, Gary Wayne Harrison, Dean “Dino” Harrison and Collin Harrison.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Barnes, Jeremy Barnes, Glen Patterson and John David Kersey.
Kay is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Keisha Barnes Hooper and husband, Rance, of the Crystal community, Kayla Lynn Yates and husband, Rick, of Union City and Kara Jene Vincent and husband, Bo, of Martin; six grandchildren, Alexus Fussell and husband, Emerson, of the Crystal community, Keaton Yates of Union City, Harrison Hooper of the Crystal community, Karter Yates of Union City and Holt Nicodemuns and Hudson Sadler, both of Martin.
Kay was also preceded in death by her five brothers.
