FUNDING NEEDED — Work is under way for this year’s community Feeding of the 5,000 to be held Nov. 25 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Obion County Fairgrounds and The Refuge Mission, where Refuge pastor Dan Huggins (foreground), Crosswind Church pastor Garrett Quinn (background left) and Refuge associate pastor Seth Walker recently unpacked boxes of canned chicken breast for the grocery giveaway to help families in need. At present, Feeding of the 5,000 has received one community grant, but only one donation of $250 from the public — leaving dire need for an additional $5,000 to purchase the canned meats (chicken or ham) to go in the bags of groceries.
