Peggy O’Connor
Mrs. Peggy June O’Connor, age 89, of Hickman, Ky., passed away on Sunday, Nov. 2, 2025, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson.
She was born on Feb. 5, 1936, in Fulton County, Ky., to the late Frank Burgess and L.B. Everett Burgess Clark.
Peggy was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and dedicated her life to caring for her family as a domestic engineer. She enjoyed crocheting, reading and, most of all, spending time with her loved ones.
She is survived by three daughters, Judy (Thomas) Freeze of Hickman, Frankye (Mike) Williams of Hickman and Charlotte (Troy) Livingston of Union City; one son, Truman Leo “Bubba” O’Connor Jr. of Hickman; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 24 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Truman “Leo” O’Connor Sr; a daughter, Betty Breedlove; and two grandchildren, Rebecca Haney and Bryan Rouse.
A funeral mass for Mrs. Peggy O’Connor will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial to follow in Hickman City Cemetery. A prayer service will be held at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with visitation to follow until 8 p.m. Visitation will also be held on Wednesday from noon until the hour of mass. Hornbeak Funeral Chapel-Hickman is in charge of arrangements.
