TO THE RESCUE — Obion County Rescue Squad longtime personnel officer Freddie Preuett checks over the unit’s new crash truck, a 2024 Ford F550, which replaces a truck that was totaled when it was hit Sept. 22, 2023, while the squad was on the scene of a wreck on the Ken-Tenn Highway. The new truck is loaded with a 5,000-watt onboard generator and a 5,000-watt inverter, as well as chainsaws, the Jaws of Life tools and all types of extrication hand tools.
